Silica, a luxury wellness destination inspired by Icelandic heritage and natural rejuvenation, was in need of a brand identity and design elements. Rooted in the traditions of Nordic culture our mission was to design an identity that seamlessly bridges the worlds of nature, history, and indulgence.

The Creative PROCESS

Our journey began with an exploration of Silica’s mission and values, alongside a deep dive into Nordic traditions. The Vegvísir, often called the Viking Compass, became a central inspiration. Historically, it is a symbol of guidance and protection, ensuring travelers would not lose their way, even in the face of uncertainty. This symbolism resonated perfectly with Silica’s mission to guide guests on a journey of rejuvenation and self-discovery.

We balanced the rugged elegance of Iceland’s landscapes with the refined indulgence of a luxury spa, crafting an identity that feels timeless yet contemporary. The brand colors—cool blues, earthy neutrals, and shimmering silvers—evoke the geothermal pools and volcanic rock that define Iceland’s terrain. The logo, inspired by the Vegvísir, represents this guiding journey, while clean typography and subtle patterns reflect the spa’s ethos of harmony and renewal.
